Not Inside This House! Hardcover by Kevin Lewis & David Ercolini - Perfect for Family Storytime & Kids' Bedtime Reading (2011 Edition)

I bought this book to have something special to read for our five grandchildren, all under the age of six, when they visited for the holidays. We read it to them last evening. What a find! They listened eyes agape to the episodes of the ever curious "Livingstone Columbus Magellan Crouse", which was a nice story in and of itself. But the topping on the cake was the wonderful illustrations which brought to life the story line. The children liked listening to the authors text and then seeing the words played out in the creative illustrations in which they hunted around for sub-texts and curious subtleties about the domestic adventures of the little explorer! Nice story, and an easy, delightful read, and I'm sure when they awaken this morning, they'll say: "can you read it again?"
